Needed add. Spouses must have access to baby camera recordings.

Sorry this is not an acceptable solution and if this is the case I'll just return all my Tapo cameras as not fit for purpose. I have an account for 10 cameras. Some cameras are at my work and some at home and I have shared just the home cameras with my wife who now cannot see the cloud recordings like she could with our RING cameras.

Come on Tapo, this is an obvious one. If I share the camera with a family member, I obviously want them to be able to see the recordings as well. They should be able to have their own account, I share with them, they see what I see.

Come on Tapo this is such an obvious feature. What's the point of paying for the service and  sharing the camera with family if they can't see the videos?

Family members should at least have the possibility to watch and download videos from Tapo cloud. Deleting could be optional.

This must be an added feature. Every other camera ecosystem allows shared members to see recordings.

The only limitation that shared accounts should have, is to not be able to change camera/account settings. Everything they do should be read-only, with the exception of settings that are personal only to their own TP-Link/Tapo account. This is what every other company does.

I can't believe this is a request from 2023...

Well just came here to confirm that there were no issues with sharing the reocrded footage and .... damn.

What a stupid design decision, as discussed elsewhere in this thread, the point of people wanting these cameras and the cloud backups is often to protect elderly family members or keep an eye on the kids, and Tapo have decided that only one person per camera should have that ability.

I got them used to the idea of the one camera in the front window, I got them up to speed using the software and now because Tapo have made this dumb decision we may have to look elsewhere for future cameras and start the onboarding all over again, or use the cr-ppy 'sharing account details' workaround.  (which sounds like you will probbaly find is technically not allowed based of some part of the T&Cs)

While we are at is, let me access cloud data via a webpage using a computer, rather than downloading to a phone and then re-uploading to the cloud (Google Drive) and then downloading to a computer, what an insane route.
