Future Consideration Feature Request - WireGuard VPN support
Current VPN support is restricted to OpenVPN, PPTP and L2TP/IPSec
Could we please also have support for WireGuard as an option, given some of the benefits it presents over OpenVPN?

@kwl147 Don't wait. They are just trying to keep you as a customer. Just toss it and buy a better router from a company who cares about what the "paying customers" are asking for. F%$k 'em!!

True. If I had an abundance of money then sure, I'd scrap or sell on the routers and get something else.
For sure I won't be so keen to get another TP Link product in the future, I'll be looking elsewhere immediately.
It's a shame they lose customers over something so easier for them to resolve. They already have developers on payroll otherwise they wouldn't be updating the firmware of this and other products.
It's not an unreasonable request from us to add this to their armory of features and it gives them one more feature to sell customers now and down the line.

It is now compared to traditional methods and I agree it's been going on for a while now.
I can't explain why it has gone on for as long as it has done or why it's not so well supported in Europe despite the GDPR movement and protectionism over privacy or market abuse by leading firms.

I bought a new Wi-Fi router. It's cheaper than the XE75 but supports WireGuard. Goodbye, TP-Link!
