What is EasyMesh with Ethernet Backhaul and Why we need it?
EasyMesh with Ethernet Backhaul refers to the Main router and the satellite device are connected via an Ethernet cable to establish an EasyMesh network. Ethernet Backhaul offers a more reliable and faster option compared to EasyMesh with Wi-Fi, ensuring a robust and efficient EasyMesh network setup.
How to create EasyMesh with Ethernet Backahul?
Pre-configuration Notice:
1.Ethernet Backhaul is supported only when both your main router and satellite extender support EasyMesh with Ethernet Backhaul.

2.The extender needs to be under wireles range extender mode, not Access Point.
3.Once the Ethernet backhaul is successfully established, the wireless backhaul will be automatically disconnected. Conversely, if the Ethernet backhaul connection gets interrupted, the devices will automatically reestablish the mesh network using the wireless backhaul.
Scenario 1: Change wireless backhaul to Ethernet backhaul
Scenario 2: Add a new satellite Range Extender to EasyMesh
EasyMesh with Ethernet Backhaul stars with RE315_V1, which features an Ethernet Port with a speed of up to 100 m/s. This functionality will gradually be extended to other EasyMesh-supported extenders. We encourage you to share your feedback below regarding your current models of EasyMesh extenders and routers. This feedback will help us prioritize the implementation of EasyMesh on different product models.

As I know, the RE3000X(DE)_V1 should have released new firmware to support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul.
If you haven't received a firmware update notification, try manually checking for it. Alternatively, wait and see; you should receive a notification soon!

My topology is as you describe, but with EasyMesh over Ethernet:
ISP modem — Archer AX53 V1 router — RE700X V1
EasyMesh over Ethernet is established correctly; both support it, and when configured, it appears connected with Ethernet Backhaul.
- What are the models of the WiFi 5 clients and older clients?
The models that do not have internet connection are:
Motorola Moto G54 5G (WiFi 5)
Archer T3U USB WiFi Adapter (WiFi 5)
IoT devices (Tapo plug, air conditioner - WiFi 4 - 2.4GHz)
On WiFi 6 devices (Laptop, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPad 2025), it works correctly.
- Have you tested 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz separately? Does it occur on both bands?
Yes, I've tried separating both bands, and it still gives the "no internet connection" error.
- When the wireless connection drops on these clients, can they still be connected to the main router?
Yes, connecting to the main router works on all devices. This only happens when connecting to the RE700X when it has EasyMesh enabled. In access point mode, all devices also connect without issue.
- Please verify that the security type has been set to WPA2/WPA3 - Personal. Try changing it to WPA/WPA2-Personal (Recommended) for a test.
I just tried, and the same thing happens: it connects to Wi-Fi, but without internet access.
Additionally, I've tried enabling/disabling the TWT/OFDMA/MU-MIMO options, and that doesn't work either.
The firmware version of Archer AX53 V1 is 1.5.1 Build 20250721 rel.87654(4555).
The firmware version of RE700X V1 is 1.2.10 Build 20250627 Rel. 66328

RE715X_V2 supports Ethernet Backhaul on the factory firmware. Is your RE715X V1? There is currently no news regarding firmware updates for the RE715X_V1. If you recently purchased the device, you may want to consider exchanging it with your retailer.

There is no clear information on when the EU version of the RE705X will be updated with new firmware. If there is an update, I will notify you as soon as possible.
I'm testing this version of devices on my RE700X V1 (EU), and with EasyMesh enabled, Wi-Fi 6 devices connect without issue, but Wi-Fi 5 or older devices don't get an internet connection. They connect to Wi-Fi but get a "No internet connection" message.
With EasyMesh disabled, all devices connect without any issues.

@David-TP Is there plan for the RE715X range extender to support Easy Mesh with Ethernet backhaul? I bought 2 of these under impression that they were supported, however when troubleshooting found they are not, which is very disappointing.
