Pretty excited about this feature, waiting for the AX55 too. One question, Ethernet Backhaul works with routers in AP mode?

  @Kevin_Z

Hello!

Is this the temporary fix for the local LAN reset after reboot too? Just updated one of our clients A8 v1 to 1.12.0 and after the update, the router was reachable through remote management, but none of the port forwards worked.

The router is working in router mode but no DHCP is enabled on it, we got a separate DHCP server on the network. The router just dial up the internet and works as a wan gw and DNS.

After 30 mins of debug, I found out, that after every reboot, the router forgots its LAN ip 192.168.1.254 and resets to 192.168.0.114. Here is the log, it not completly forgets the good ip. After reboot it sets the desired IP and after a few steps it changes back to 192.168.0.114

Here is the log

  @Kevin_Z Where can I find the 1.12 version of the firmware with EasyMesh support for the Archer C80(BR) v2.20 hardware? Based on this post (https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/578810) that is already available but I cannot manage to find it. Thanks!

Do both routers in the setup need to support Ethernet EasyMesh or is it fine for only one of them to support Ethernet backbone if the other one can still do EasyMesh (like for instance the second router supports EasyMesh but hasnt been updated with Ethernet EasyMesh)?

Hi @oqferraz, thank you for asking.

We are providing an early released version of the EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul for Archer C80 V1.0 version here, and it is not applicable for Archer C80 V2.20.

I was informed previously that the official versions for Archer C80 V1.0 and V2.20 are on the way, you could get the online upgrade very soon in days or weeks. It's suggested to wait and check for the updates on your router web GUI or Tether app later.

@LinkFX Thanks for asking.

Only when both routers support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul can you build up the EasyMesh network via Ethernet Backhaul.
