We need an access point and are checking out the specs of the Archer AX55. If you use this device in access point modus, can you then still use the 4 ethernet LAN ports for wired connections, or are these getting deactivated? If the latter, is there an access point that keeps this functionality and as such also serves as switch (access point with integrated switch)?

When in AP mode AX55 (and almost any other router models) LAN ports are available for wired client devices - details.
