I have just bought this WiFi Adapter (TP-LINK AC1300 Archer T3U) and it is extremely frustrating as the connection keeps dropping out as per below:

 

 

I am running Windows 11 with the following driver 030.38.712.2019.

 

Any advice on how I can rectify this before I return the unit?

Ok, I see.

 

As a last effort you could try out the newest driver that is available for download on the Internet.
https://station-drivers.com/index.php/en-us/component/remository/Drivers/Realtek/Wireless-(Wifi)/RTL8192RU-8188CU-8188CUS-8192CU..../Realtek-RTL8812AU-8192RU-...-Version-1030.44.0822.2023-WHQL/lang,en-us/

 

The thing is, if you return the Archer T3U and exchange it for another model of USB Wi-Fi adapter there is a good chance you might face the same or similar problems again.

 

Is this a laptop or a desktop computer? In case it's the latter, then you should maybe consider going for a PCIe add-on card like the Archer TX3000E or TXE75E.

Hi,

 

Does this happen while the computer is totally idle? (i.e. no software other than Windows itself is running and no person is operating the computer)

  @woozle No, it can happen whilst streaming or gaming.  I obviously notice it more during gaming.
