This is such a basic feature. That there is a WiFi solution out there which does not support it, is so unbelievable!

IPv6 ULA is required for proper matter support.... I wish I knew this before buying into the Omada system as I can't use it properly with my setup now..

Why is this taking so long to be implemented? Unifi OS implemented this months ago and Mikrotik OS years ago. Cant make matter or local ipv6 DNS work without this, this is supposed to be on high priority on the roadmap, wake up devs.

@Vincent-TP I am missing this feature too. I am using local DNSv6 Servers but since I can't assign ULA IPv6 adresses to clients I can't use my
Router ER707-M2 and need to continue to use a fritzbox as router.

Add me to the list of people looking for this feature and overall a much more robust and complete IPv6 implementation, especially in the Omada controller. I should be able to define my IPv6 prefix, and subnets and not depend on the broken TP-Link negotiation with the broken Comcast ONT/modem.

If the standalone mode supports something, the controller mode should too. Otherwise, TP-Link is penalizing people for moving to their Omada controller.

Hi @Vincent-TP@Hank21

any news on this feature? It would be nice to get some information about when it is planned. You mentioned that it is on the roadmap. Please provide further timing information so the community is informed and engaged.
Many thanks in advance!

The community does not currently have an ETA.

However, we have repeatedly forwarded this request, and I believe its priority is relatively high. Please patiently wait for the firmware update. Thanks for your understanding.

Please understand that patience is running low and understanding is gone. We are talking about a fundamental feature of IPv6 (I skip the part where I explain how important IPv6 is) that was confirmed to be on the roadmap almost over a year ago (343 days, if you want a larger number).

I'm aware that "the community does not currently have an ETA", this is why we asked you. It does not bode well, if all you can say is that you "believe its priority is relatively high".

I'm not even sure what to say at this point. Have you read Kafka's "The Trial"?
