Hello

I'm one fan of Mesh tecnology of TP-Link !!!

After many years buying a new model after a new model, at 2024 i'm using Deco X75 2-pack.

One of them its the main router (at living room) connected by wire at my ISP's router and the other at bedroom where its located de MI box of the ISP to watch TV and give

wifi connection to any device i link to use (smartphone, tablet, etc)

My goal its put my desktop pc working using wifi instead of using ethernet. For that i buy the TP-Link Archer TXE75E to mount on my pc.

For that i need to change the main X75 Deco (at living room) near to my ISP router and move the other Deco X75 unit from bedroom to the living room.

The next step i'm thinking its use one X50-poe (a friend who its not needing these unit and give to me) to connect to my mesh network at bedroom. I'm not to go to use poe.

My question its if i connect the X50 to the other 2x X75 i loose any performance. The 2x Deco X75 are wifi 6E and the X50-poe its only wifi 6.

The X50-poe it's enough to connect the Mi Box and my smartphone and tablet (apple devices).

What you think about this?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

  @Bitaro777

Hi, Welcome to the community.

I think Deco X50-POE would work well with Deco XE75 Pro.

(your model number might be Deco XE75 Pro, not X75 Since Deco X75 is also Wi-Fi 6.)

You could refer to this link to compare Deco XE75 Pro and Deco X50-PoE.

https://www.tp-link.com/en/compare/?typeId=5700&productIds=63736%2C74119

The main difference would be the wireless specification and Deco X50 doesn't have 6GHz. But it doesn't affect Deco XE75 PRO and they will still broadcast 6GHz.

Most important software features on Deco XE75 Pro have been added to Deco X50-POE as well.

Thank you very much and best regards.
