Will AC750 Wi-Fi Range Extender extend the public 5 ghz WIFI network which requires webpage login ( Captive Portal)?

I am a student of BRAC University. Our university provides us WIFI through sign in WIFI web page login where we have to enter our mail and pass. My room doesn't get the WIFI signal very well. So, I was thinking of buying a range extender. But I am unsure if it will work with a captive portal.
