Once the Kasa smart plug is set up and connects to the internet successfully, it can be controlled remotely with the App when using the same TP-Link account. 

Tapo and Kasa are both smart home brands under TP-Link, tailored to different countries or regions, and they may have slightly different product lines. Each brand has its own independent app. However, products of the same type generally share similar basic functions, such as remote management and scheduling support for smart plugs. Nevertheless, there may be differences in performance and specifications among different models. In fact, the Quick Installation Guide that comes with the product box will have prompts for you to refer to the installation instructions within the app, there's no need to worry about it in advance, and when you get into the configuration operation, there will be detailed instructions for each step.
