M4R preferred signal source not available
Hi.
According to this https://www.tp-link.com/fi/support/faq/3480/ I should be able to select defined the connection preference on my decos, but I'm unable to do so.
My mobile app is updated to the latest version so are the DECO units, still nothing.
Basically, I would like the bedroon connected to hallway connected to living room
I might be missing something, but not clear what. Is there a difference between M4 model and M4R?

Hi, Deco M4R refers to the single Deco M4 unit while M4 is the whole kit.
The current firmware 1.6.1 doesn't support setting the preferred signal source but you could try to install the 1.7.0 beta firmware here:

Is there any idea on a timeframe for when the 1.7.0 will be put out to general release? I really need the 'preferred signal source' option on one of my Deco M4R units. 3 work perfectly but one just wants to connect to the main unit which is miles away from it and not the closer unit. It's driving me crazy!

I'm sorry that I haven't received any updated news on the 1.7.0 firmware of Deco M4_V1/V2.
So far, I'm afraid you might still need to install the 1.7.0 beta firmware first.
