Hi, I have just set these 3 M9plus units as a mesh system. They are connected as follows: ISP Router to M9 (main) via Cat5e ethernet , Main to Gigabit Switch via ethernet, other 2 units from switch via ethernet. They are connected in parallel from the switch. All units are located in a bungalow attic space. The issues are;
1. If I connect to the ISP Router I get a constant download speed of approx 320 Mbps and when connected to the main unit I immediately lose 100Mbps. Both units are beside each other <500mm apart.
2. When I move a short distance from the main unit or the others I have a serious loss of signal, and the coverage is nowhere near the advertised 6500 sqft or 600sqm. Its offering about half of that coverage area.
Is there something else I can do, I've set it up and reset it. I also set it up as another new network but everything remains the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance, Albert

There are no configuration settings in Deco mesh to increase WiFi signal level.
You could try placing Deco units upside down, so that their antennas point down from the attic, and see if that improves WiFi signal below.
If you have that option, drill holes through the attic floor for power and Ethernet cables, and mount Deco M9 Plus on ceiling under the attic using third party M9 Plus wall/ceiling mount holder: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/660562?replyId=1337634
It is quite common to underestimate number of WiFi mesh nodes required to provide good coverage. For my house, I started with two M9 Plus as I thought that would be enough. I now have 4-nodes Deco mesh, twice number of units I planned originally, but extra expense was worth it: members of my household no longer complain of WiFi issues.
