Dropping downloads on EB810v
Hello!
I got the TP-Link EB810v WiFi 7 BE22000. I know it is a ISP (StarHub) issued router so the support is limited. But I just wanna ask a question if other similar routers of TP-Link had this issue.
When I download a slightly big file (like a few hundreds of MB) over wireless (Not sure about wired), my download will always get disrupted after way throughout the download.
It happens most often when the download speed is faster and probably that's why it is most often on 6Ghz>5GHz>2.4Ghz.
is this a known problem from other similar routers? I found out that there was similar complaints of the Deco B85 BE22000. Could they be the same issue?

Hi, thanks for sharing question here.
Thanks for your feedback, we have not received similar issue with EB810v as you mentioned.
May I confirm whether you are using the latest firmware version?

@Marvin_S Hello! Yeap I am using the latest firmware which is 0.4.0 3.0.0 v608b.0 Build 240122 Rel.66930n.
I am suspecting a same issue with BE85.

I am also communicating with TP-Link support channel and they are investigating.

@Frank-0919 Hi! I had tried hard reset and my ISP even swapped my modem and router once but the issue persists. My ISP had also checked that claim that there is nothing wrong with their network. I am currently communicating with TP-Link support too.

Hi, @mitchytan92
May I know which type of file you are performing to download so I can try on my side?
I already tried on my side to perform an 8K video run test and download a 10GB file size, but I didn't encounter the issue that you face FYI.

Hi there.
Sorry to piggyback on this thread.
I'm thinking of subscribing to StarHub's (our Singapore Internet Service Provider) "10Gbps Broadband Bundle with Ultra Streaming" package which gives a free TP-Link EB810v WiFi 7 router.
I'm currently running a fully Deco M5 set-up (6 of them), so thinking of setting up an Ethernet backbone using the Wifi 7 router and connect all the M5es to this backbone.
Probably not ideal, since we won't enjoy the speed until the M5es are replaced...but will it work?
Am currently using the TP-Link Deco app on iPhone to manage all my Deco M5s. Need a different app?
Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi, thanks for posting question here.
As EB810v is a wireless router, different from Deco mesh series, so it does not support to use Deco app to manage EB810v.
Mostly, Tether APP supports to manage TP-Link Archer routers, as EB810v is a customized model for ISP only. I am not sure whether EB810v is compitible with Tether app. It is sincerely suggested to contact Starhub to make a clear confirmation before purchasing.
