Model: Deco XE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.5

Hopefully a straightforward question smiley

I have two XE75s one on the ground floor and one on the first. I want to move my NAS to the top floor above the first. However I cant supply it with ethernet via a cable from the first floor. I was thinking I could install a cheaper end Deco up there, connect to my network via WiFi then cable from the node to the NAS with a Cat 6. So far so good ?

I guess if thats technically OK will any WiFi 5 or 6 Deco do ?

Thank you

Hi, yes, any Deco(except Deco M3W which doesn't have an Ethernet port) could help with that.

Best regards.

Consider M5 if you are OK with WiFi5 Deco unit, or X55/X50 for WiFi6.

With your setup, you may need Connection Preference feature to make sure top floor Deco connects to first floor Deco and not to ground floor Deco. Not every Deco model has that feature, especially among older and cheaper WiFi5 Deco models only M5 and M9 Plus have it for sure.

With WiFi6 Decos it is the same story, but X50 or X55 should have that feature.
