Model: PG2400P KIT
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I'm trying to find out what firmware version my TP Link PG2400P Powerline Kit is running.

How do I do that?

I've installed the utility and it doesn't seem to help. Screenshot it below.

The FAQ doesn't give any useful info either. https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/315/

I'd really appreciate your help.

Hi,

According to another user who posted this thread https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/668070 these G.hn Powerline adapters are to be managed via an internal web management page that can be accessed by entering each Powerline adapter's IP address in a web browser. You should be able to determine the IP addresses of the Powerline adapters via your router's client list.

  @Andrey_Simonov

Use this guide for updating your PLC firmware:

When you hover your mouse over a device the (Basic) icon should appear.

If this was helpful click once on the arrow pointing upward. If this solves your issue, click once the star to mark it as a "Recommended Solution".

  @terziyski thanks, but where is this icon situated please? Are you using the Windows version of the app?

As you can see in my screenshot, this icon is not there and it doesn't appear if you select a node.

@woozle thank you so much for linking this thread. It's even easier than the user suggests: the 'website' link in the tpPLC Utility for Mac takes you directly to the powerline adapter's website!

I now found my firmware successfully: it's 1.0.3, so I don't need to upgrade.
