Model: Deco X50 - PoE
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I purchased a TP-Link Deco X50-5G Router with 5G sim, which I have already configured via the Deco App.
Then, since the house is distributed over several floors, I decided to install the Deco X50-5G Router in the attic as the main internet source and for the ground floor/living room I purchased a TP-Link Deco X50-PoE Router Mesh WiFi 6 AX3000 to use as an Access Point.

The house is all wired, so the Deco X50-5G connects via the plug in the living room on the ground floor, and is connected to a Switch with 7 POE ports to which I wanted to connect and power the Deco X50-PoE but I can't configure it as an Access Point.

I kindly ask for your support, hoping for a quick resolution.
Thank you for your attention.

  @Francesco91m

Hi, Thank you very much for your time and patience.

We don't need to set extra configuration on Deco X50-POE.

After adding it as the satellite unit of Deco X50-5G, it will work just like a wireless access point. Deco X50-5G would be the only 5G wireless router in the Deco Mesh network.

How to add an additional unit to your Deco network

Best regards.
