How to whitelist a website on deco x3600
Hello,
Need help to figure out how to whiltelist website for my deco x3600
I use a website to watch sports, the website itself loads but the stream doesn't, was working until a day or two ago.
Website opens fine on my cellphone so it's related to the wifi / router..
I have tried on hardwired desktop (win 10 pro with chrome) and wifi laptop (win 11 pro with chrome and edge) and cellphone (android 14).
So, first I need to figure out what's being blocked tried to view logs and parental controls and no blocks being shown.
Once I figure that out, how do whitelist so it's not blocked.
The behavior is that the website loads but the media in the middle won't load and stays black and then goes white with the chrome frowny face.
Happy to relay more details if needed to make an assessment.
Thanks in advance.

@W.E.S. Do you use any ad-block extension in the Chrome Browser?

Hi, Have you tried to edit the WAN DNS to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4 to see whether it helped?
If possible, It is also suggested to connect the Win 10 pro with Chrome directly to the ISP modem(remove the main Deco X3600 temporarily) to see whether the media in the middle loads properly.
By the way, have you tried using another browser, like Firefox to see whether it had a similar issue?
I think if you could open the sports site and it is not blocked by Parental Control. Moreover, for Deco X3600_V1_1.2.2, it uses the HomeShield Security kit and there hasn't been an option to whitelist a specific website.
Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi David,
Thanks for getting back to me on this.
Would appreciate if you can give me details around editing the WAN, and I would try to experiment with it.
I did connect the win10 pro desktop directly to modem and as expected it did work with Chrome and Edge
Tried to connect win11 pro laptop to my cellphone hotspot and that too did work with Chrome and Edge.
Continues to work on Android14 phone on Chrome with mobile data.
Now the weird part, put wifi back together and the website still worked on both win10 and win11, not sure if it's a temporary fix and will be broken again tomorrow or even later tonight.
Any other ideas to try?

HI @David-TP
I haven't messed with the DNS yet.
The issue did resurface but a reboot of the router fixed it again.
Tested at my relative's house who have another version of the Deco router and no issues there.
Thanks
