Sleep mode crashes app + no report
Hello,
I was very happy with these thermostats until the latest iOS app update 3.3.651
Since then I am having the following errors:
- Reports have stopped working. They just show "no data".
- If I try to set the Thermostat to sleep,
the app immediately crashes as soon as I try turn the switch to "on". This is important to leave all valves fully open while heating is not operating.
Nothing in my configuration has changed (phone, network, etc...).
Could you please fix this? I have 13 of these devices at home and it is really inconvenient.
Thanks a lot and best regards.

Try to restart the router, the home network. Then observe if the data resumes recording.
Regarding the App crashes, have you tried to test it with another mobile phone? Any VPN enabled on your phone?

@Wayne-TP thanks a lot for your reply.
As I said, nothing changed and nothing helped. I have a standard iPhone, standard network with no VPN, I restarted my router etc. I don't have another iPhone to test the app.
I am a computer scientist and software developer. It all started with the latest app update and there have been no more since then.

@Wayne-TP I deleted and reinstalled the app and the sleep mode os working again, so it seems it was some fluke.
Reporting still doesn't work though and show no data though. As Wifi I have a Deco system set in access point mode plugged directly to my ISP's cable router. Everything worked perfectly before the last app update.

Try to restart the hub. If it doesn't work, change the cable router's DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Then monitor if the recorded data resumed.
Is the cable router still broadcasting WiFi signal? Is it the same name as the Deco WiFi?

@Wayne-TP thanks for the help. Turns out I can't change my DNS cause my ISP's router doesn't have a web interface.
In any case I don't see the relevance. DNS just resolves domain names to IP addresses. Why should my ISP's not work if I never ever had a DNS error? What is the exact address that should be resolved? I can try to ping it and let you know.
The hub is connected to my Deco's Wifi and everything else (e.g. accessing my devices remotely from mobile data via the Kasa app) works without a problem. My ISPs router has a different network ID and it's not used by any device and not causing any channel interference or anything.

If nothing else helps, remove the KE100 from the app, reset it and add it back.
Doesn't take long and you don't have any data anyway.
Please report back!

Can you share the model of your ISP router? Which Deco model do you own?
To assist with the case, a specialist will help to follow it up via email, kindly check your inbox later.
