Hi
All Deco models can work together to form a seamless roaming mesh network without issues.
However, a few advanced features might disappear from the Deco APP or become different after mixing different models, such as WPA3 encryption, reboot schedule, connection preferences, etc. Losing those options is not abnormal, in order for those features to work properly, all Deco models in the network must all support it.
Here are some examples for your reference.
Only main Deco support required
VPN Server/Client, Static Routing, Changing WAN MTU, HomeShield (Parental Control) etc.
All Deco unit support required
IoT network, WPA3 encrption, Reboot Schedule, Connection Preferences for client devices.
Independent features, not related to other Deco units
Signal Source selection for satellite units.
