Model: TL-MR105
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have a TL-MR105 which seems like the latest and not in the forum database yet.

I just moved to a new area with really bad LTE coverage. There are 2 external antennas port behind the router but there's zero information about it whether which port or if both the ports are for LTE external antennas. And what antenna can I use on it? preferably those from TP link themselves.

Anyone got info? Tech support able to help?

Cheers

  @Edwardjohn

Hi

Both ports are for External 4G/3G Antenna.

Please make sure the antenna's supported LTE frequency range matches the MR105. And the interface type of the antennas is SMA male.

https://www.tp-link.com/home-networking/5g-4g-router/tl-mr105/#specifications

After installing the antennas, you need to go to the web management interface to enable the antennas.
1. Launch a web browser and visit http://tplinkmodem.net. Create a password to log in.
2. Go to Advanced > Network > Internet > Enable External Antennas.

  @Joseph-TP hi, i have the same router, i tried using a supported antenna but instead the signal to be boosted, it became much weaker? do you mind if you share a picture of an actual working antenna for this specific model?
