TP-Link Deco X50-DSL problem when connecting to Netflix via Samsung smart TV
TP-Link Deco X50-DSL problem when connecting to Netflix via Samsung smart TV
Hi,
I have very interesting problem with my TP-Link Deco X50-DSL. I have installed my new modem at home. All devices can connect internet without any problem. Also samsung smart tv can also connect to the internet. But Netlfix application of Samsung smart TV is not opening. Ther is no problem on internet connection, because Youtube application on the same TV is working fine. I can watch youtube videos. But netflix and disney plus are not working. Netflix application running or iPad is also working fie. iPad is connected to the same deco wifi with the TV. But TV is not opening Netflix and disney plus.
How can I solve this problem? Is there any mismatch?
I have updated firmware on Deco X50-DSL but nothing changes. Also changed DNS to 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 and nothing solved.
Please help

My problem has been resolved my Tp link support engineer with a firmware update.
If you can escalate this case to them, I think it will be resolved with a firmware update if any software bug exists.

i am also experiencing the same issues but in my case it's with the Apple mirroring and with Crave, also when online with my iPhone the videos buffer alot. These issues are non existent when the Deco X50 is unplugged.

Hi, welcome to the community.
I think the root cause of Deco X50 would be different from Deco X50-DSL.
It is suggested to start a new thread here.
There are some suggestions for your reference:
1. Please check the Crave TV via an Ethernet cable to the nearest Deco if possible.
- If it has to be on the Wi-Fi connection, please disable the "Mesh Technology" of the TV and iPhone on the Deco APP.
2. Disable "Fast Roaming" and "Beamforming" under Deco APP>More>Advanced.
By the way, do you have an ISP router connected in front of Deco and set Deco X50 into "Access Point Mode"?
Are you able to constantly reproduce this issue?
Thank you very much and best regards.

Hello,
just to clarify, Crave is a streaming service.
My ISP is Bell and i am connected via fiber optics. My main Deco is connected to the router by ethernet cable and is set to Access Point mode.
Both "Fast Roaming" and "Beamforming" are disabled.
My internet speed is not the full 1GB but it is fairly close. The Deco's are rebooted everyday. I think i have things set up as expected but i am always having buffering issues not only with streaming Crave and with Apple mirroring from iPhone to the TV but also with Youtube, Reels and Tiktok on my iPhone and iPad.
