Model: TL-WA850RE
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

  @leonardohansa

Hi, welcome to the community.

Can I have the hardware version of the TL-WA850RE?

If it is V7, please refer to this link to update 850RE to the latest firmware first:

https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/628396

As for the wireless coverage, may I know the model number of your host router?

Does it work on 2.4GHz only?

If the host router supports Dual-band, maybe you could consider a dual-band wireless range extender as well, such as

https://www.tp-link.com/en/home-networking/range-extender/?filterby=6271%7C6093%7C5730%7C4809

The 2.4GHz is easily affected by nearby wireless signals, such as Bluetooth, and Zigbee signals that are working on the same wireless spectrum.

If possible, it is also suggested to adjust the wireless channel on the Host router, such as channel 1/6/11, then 850RE will follow the same channel as the host router to reduce the wireless interference.

Thank you very much and best regards.
