Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.13.2 Build 230824 Rel.74702n(4555)

Ok, so I run C80 in WDS mode, it does work, I get the internet connection, BUT at the Network map router displays that is not connected to Internet, for some reason.

Then there is a Time settings that does not stick (a bug?) and defaults back to "Automatically from the Internet" after restart.

But the router does not recognize it has an internet connection (I can connect to the internet through it using a client device), so Time never updates.

That in turn prevents me from reliably using Wireless Schedule, since routers time is always off whenever it may restart.

Is there a possibility this can be fixed in the future firmware for this HW version?

Thanks

That's a know behavior since you don't use the C80 WAN port in this scenario.

Regarding time setting try this post suggestion and check if it works in your case.

Thank you, I tried this, but it does not seem to work on my C80.

Double-check your root/main router LAN IP address. Use this IP address as a gateway for the static route on your C80 (like described in the post I mentioned):

I suspect that gateway IP address should be 192.168.1.1.

  @terziyski

192.168.1.2 is my wired AP I use for my wireless connection using WDS on C80

Main router: 192.168.1.1

C80 router: 192.168.1.3

But I have tried 192.168.1.1 for a test too, but it's the same "NTP server time out".

Once the static route gateway is set to your main router LAN IP address (192.168.1.1) try the following NTP servers:

While the actual URL for the Google public NTP servers is time.google.com, most servers can't handle a canonical domain name (ie. time.google.com), the actual IP(s) that this maps to is as follows:
time.google.com     219.239.35.0
time2.google.com   219.239.35.4
time3.google.com   219.239.35.8
time4.google.com   219.239.35.12

Usually this works for syncronising the time when a router is using its WDS feature.
If it doesn't then you have to set the time manually.
