Model: Archer AX10
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.10 Build 20240130 Rel. 77367(5553)

Hi Team,

I have been observing some weird behavior with my new Archer AX10 Wireless Router. I notice that suddenly the 5GHz antenna turns off and my wireless connection drops. In the logs I clearly see that the LED controller WAN0 and WAN1 turn off and on at the same time. On the router I notice that the 5th LED turns Amber and then after some time turns Green and the 5Ghz wifi connection is up. While I don't always keep looking on the router but the observation on the last line is when I was observing it today morning, so I cannot say the LED status of 1st,2nd,3rd  and 4th LED. This has been frustrating and happens randomly throughout the day multiple times.

1. This is new router purchased on 29th July, 2024.

2. Firmware is the latest one, I verified it by clicking on check for updates.

3. Router is well located which has proper ventilation. The power source is a UPS which connects back to the power supply at home. The power source is fine as I have tried using another router with the same power source and that does not fluctuate.

4. I notice the issue mostly with 5GHz while sometimes 2.4 Ghz is stable. Sometimes connection from both Antenna's are impacted. There has to be something to figure this out as I see in many reviews multiple users have faced the issue.

5. There are No LAN devices connected. All device connect on Wireless. It is mostly laptop, mobile and sometimes our TV which does HD streaming.

The LED turning amber and Wifi getting disconnected have no pattern with the number of devices used or if any HD streaming is being done. Sometimes it happens with only one Laptop connected with just basic browsing being done.

6. WAN connection is stable too as the ISP provided me a router for testing the connection and that was stable. This was because I challenged them that the WAN connection has been fluctuating.

7. Router does not have heating issues, as I have physically checked that.

Can someone help with a solution for this as I purchased this new after I upgraded my bandwidth to 300 Mbps(earlier was 100 Mbps and I had a different router), thinking that this will give me a better connectivity but instead this seems to be causing problems.

Let me know if someone needs more details please. I am happy to get involved in any kind of troubleshooting is required as I understand the situation being myself from the network background.

WiFi Settings -

OFDMA enabled

TWT disabled

Smart Connect disabled (Enabling this option is not feasible for me, as I want a fix with the 5Ghz or sometimes with 2.4 GHz to be stable)

It is in Router Mode

Both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz is enabled.

Guest Network is kept disabled.

I am not sure what these logs exactly mean with WAN1 and WAN0, if is related to 2.4GHz and 5 GHz then its something with the wireless Antennas. If it related actually to my WAN connections, the ISP has already proved that their connection is stable. As I mentioned they provided another router to prove that their WAN connection is stable, Wifi did not fluctuate in their wireless router. I tested this for 15 days with them.

Here are the logs from the Router:

  @Rockyblr

Hi

If the modem provided by internet service provider has multiple ports, it is recommended that you switch the network port and network cable to check whether the network remains stable.
Also, you could refer to steps 4 and 5 of the link below to troubleshoot:
What if TP-Link Router Disconnects from Internet?
It seems that the fourth light of AX10 (like a global icon) only has amber color. Are you referring to the fact that the fourth light turns amber when the problem occurs?
