Powerline capped at 50mbps
Hi all, I use an ISP supplied VDSL2 Modem/Router with a 2.4ghz antenna, however its range is very small so I use two TP-Link powerline adapters to increase its range. I had a 50mbps plan, and that gave me no issues whatsoever, but recently we upgraded to a 100mbps plan and the powerline seems to cap at around 50mbps download. The only way I can actually get 100mbps (actually around ~90mbps) is when I plug my computer directly into the main router with an ethernet cable. The routers Wi-Fi network does around 60mbps max, but that is fine. However, when I plug my computer into the main powerline adapter with an ethernet cable, it doesnt surpass 50mbps. the tpPLC software indicates that the powerlines has a minimum speed of around 200-400mbps so I do not think that is the problem, nor is the CAT5 cable that connects the router to the powerline. What could be causing this? Sorry for the jumbled paragraph, and thanks in advance!
