Hi,

Recently, my Deco app (or probably network) has suddenly become problematic! I have 3 Deco M9s and 3 Deco M5s, the M9 being the main Deco. All units have the latest, up-to-date firmware.

Everytime I use the app, I always encounter these warnings or issues:

1. Unable to find the main Deco

2. 5 Decos are offline (even if the lights of the 5 Decos are actually GREEN)

3. Some Decos keep on reverting to the name "M5" or "M9", even after renaming them back

Has anyone encountered this?

Or could any TP-Link moderator assist me by checking my logs? (I think this may also be the reason why some of my smart devices keep on going offline, which is another problem.)

I noticed in the logs that the following error keeps on popping up every few MILLISECONDS!

daemon.err tmpsvr[3838]:

Error(Operation not permitted): sendto

  @DiceKey

Same issue here.I have 5 M5 Decos which are showing the same as yours in the app since the firmware update earlier this week. Having said that, they all seem to be providing WiFi as expected.

  @DiceKey my P9's also just became unstable. I have 8 units, with 6 connected with Ethernet cable and 2 free standing. They flash red randomly. The Deco App on an iPhone is also pretty useless telling me they are all units apart from the master are offline, when they aren't. Any help appreciated

  @FrancoIngham I hope they get this fixed real soon. Just wondering, how many devices do you have connected to your network?

  @garsdalian Did this happen when you updated your firmware?

The difference is that my Decos are all green, but in the app it always says they are disconnected.

  @DiceKey

57 online at the moment (don't tell my wife...I do like my gadgets).

All Decos are green and working normally, but the app says that they are offline. It's happened since the recent update.

  @FrancoIngham You secret is safe with me. 🤐

So prior to your firmware update, there were no issues with 57 devices connected?

Yes, all working fine including the app. Since I noticed the issue, I tried the new Eco setting just to control the led lights on all to go off between the hours of 10pm and 7am and that works too.... bizarre that they still show offline!

  @DiceKey

Hi

Do you have any other DHCP Server at home, such as an ISP router?
If possible, please provide the detailed topology of your home, such as modem > ISP router > main Deco > switch > satellite decos.

@Joseph-TP Hi, here is the topology:

ISP modem/router → Main Deco → Satellite Decos

My modem/router is on router mode.
