Firmware Version: 0.9.1 0.3 v008a.0 Build 240712 Rel.51644n(5553)

I am using another router to act as a wisp to find out which mac address is being reported by wr902ac travel router. I have rebooted the devices each time I set the cloned address, and I found that even though the correct mac address appears on the WAN section of the status page, it is not used when connecting to the wisp using 5GHz.

It works as expected when connected using 2.4GHz and in router mode.

SSID, password, wireless mode, channel, channel width are identical in both WISP and Router modes.

Here is some information I gathered:

Firmware Version:0.9.1 0.3 v008a.0 Build 240712 Rel.51644n(5553)
Hardware Version:TL-WR902AC v3 00000001 (US)

Network -> MAC Clone
WAN MAC Address:
[ 60:xx:xx:xE:xx:x9 ]  [ Restore Factory Mac ]

WISP MODE
[ 60:xx:xx:xE:xx:x8 ] LAN
[ 60:xx:xx:xE:xx:x8 ] Wireless 2.4GHz - default
[ 60:xx:xx:xE:xx:x9 ] MAC used on WISP (clone working)
[ 60:xx:xx:xE:xx:x7 ] Wireless 5GHz - default
[ 62:xx:xx:xD:xx:x7 ] MAC used on WISP (cloned mac is not applied, this address is used instead)
[ 60:xx:xx:xE:xx:x9 ] WAN (default if there is no cloned address set)

ROUTER MODE
[ 60:xx:xx:xE:xx:x8 ] LAN
[ 60:xx:xx:xE:xx:x8 ] Wireless 2.4GHz
[ 60:xx:xx:xE:xx:x7 ] Wireless 5GHz
[ 60:xx:xx:xE:xx:x9 ] WAN

[ 60:xx:xx:xE:xx:x8 ] MAC address written on the back of the device

It is interesting to note that the pattern used when connected via 5G is quite different, with the 2nd and 8th characters also being changed.

I hope this gets fixed. Thank you in advance.
