Model: Archer T4U V2
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

For a long time I noticed my PC kept having intermittent issues. My other devices connected to same router had no issue. So I'm convinced this adapter is the culprit somehow.

Just mow, my PC suddenly crashes with DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. Quick googling suggests WiFi adapter driver issues, turned out to be true cause once I unplugged my adapter my PC can boot up fine.

I've tried uninstall and manually reinstall driver using latest version downloaded from TPLink website, but my pc crashes right after the driver was installed.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Windows 10 22H2 build 19045.4780 64-bit

Hi, welcome to the community.

It is also suggested to install the following driver to see whether it helped:

https://static.tp-link.com/upload/beta/2024/202405/20240527/RTWlanUSB_WindowsDriver_1030.44.0408.2024_Drv_3.00.0043_TS.L(153650).zip

By the way, may I know when you purchase this adapter?

It is also suggested to check whether there is a new system build available for your computer.

Thank you very much and best regards.

  @David-TP

Yep found a reddit thread about this same issue. grabbed an older realtek driver in the comments and it worked fine since. i'll just keep this one too just in case.

Thanks!
