Note:
1. Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Pre-release firmware!
2. It is recommended that all Decos in the network be upgraded to beta firmware.
3. Please also check whether there is a firmware update for the Tapo device in the Tapo APP. If so, please update the Tapo device to the latest firmware.
4. How to update the satellite Deco units:
When the satellite Decos are offline, they may not be successfully upgraded through the Web UI. In this case, it is recommended to upgrade according to the following steps:
- Please temporarily power off most of the smart home devices and wait for the satellite Deco come back online.
- Once all the satellite Deco units are confirmed online, try upgrading to the beta firmware again through the Web UI.
-If the main Deco and satellite Deco units are on different models, you could also update the satellite units individually through its IP address.
- After ensuring that all Deco units have been successfully upgraded, power on the Tapo devices again and observe if the issue is resolved.

Hi, Thanks for the update.
You can check the email address in the message.
And there might be some useful tips regarding Deco firmware upgrades:
1. You could upgrade or downgrade 1.6.2 to 1.6.0 or 1.6.1 directly via web interface. But from 1.7.x to 1.6.x or 1.6.x to 1.5.x which has crossed different firmware platforms, a firmware recovery is needed(such as from the 1.7.0 beta to the 1.6.2 beta on Deco M4_V2 here): How to use firmware recovery
2. The beta firmware is usually based on the latest official firmware and sometimes it has the same version number as the official version, like the 1.6.2 beta for M4 and the 1.1.5 beta for Deco X10. The build number represents its release date, for example, 1.1.5_build_20240910 is newer than 1.1.5_build_20240719.
I see now you have removed Deco X10 from the Mesh system and left the 3*Deco M4 only. Is it because the 1.1.5_20240910_beta caused Deco X10 to fail to connect to the internet service?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

I have been trying to discover for over a week how I could get any of my 6 satellites to be on line.
I have loads of Tapo devices (plugs, switches, buttons, hubs, bulbs) plus Echo devices and Blink cameras and door bells - so the thought of disconnecting them from my M5 so I can install the patch was just a nightmare. However the easy way around was to block individual devices through the Deco App. This meant that they were not part of the network. Once I had blocked 12 I refreshed the deco app and it had proudly said "Everything looks good".
Installing the patch was just a case of downloading and unzipping the file. No problems. I had already read the instructions on this.
I then returned to the Deco app after the network rebooted and went through unblocking a few of the devices at a time and checking to see if everything was ok. Now everything looks good.

I didnt have this fault to start with, My Deco P9 seem to keep dropping off the wifi. TP Link support said this firmware was new out due to this issue here and it should fix mine.
It did for a short time but now, Im exoeriencing what this firmware was meant to fix. I now have 1 main P9 Decco working as an access point. The other 3 show as offline on the app but I can access them via their IP address, the TP link logo light is constant white and the machines I plug into the ethernet ports all work well. The app shows that the 3 satelite deccos are offline and only shows my wifi devices as all on the main P9 Deco.
Has anyone else, had this fix not work ?
Thanks
PS, they told me that the P9 are now end of life, so not much will be done with them. I bought mine in November 2021 and they are still in warranty but I cant find the invoice for them, so cant get them swapped.

Hi David,
Thanks for your advice to try the solution in this topic. I've installed the beta version onto my Deco X50's (1.5.5_build_20240816_Beta) and this seem to solve the issues of not seeing my devices online in the app even though they're connected to the internet. After the installation of this firmware and full reboot of the deco's, all of the clients appeared again :)
As far I can see all is working stable and as expected again.
Kind regards,
Manuel

Maybe it is a bad display through Deco APP. You can access Deco web UI by tplinkdeco.net to see if the satellite P9s are online.
I don't have P9 but the PX50 beta seems working well for my case.
