Note:
1. Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Pre-release firmware!
2. It is recommended that all Decos in the network be upgraded to beta firmware.
3. Please also check whether there is a firmware update for the Tapo device in the Tapo APP. If so, please update the Tapo device to the latest firmware.
4. How to update the satellite Deco units:
When the satellite Decos are offline, they may not be successfully upgraded through the Web UI. In this case, it is recommended to upgrade according to the following steps:
- Please temporarily power off most of the smart home devices and wait for the satellite Deco come back online.
- Once all the satellite Deco units are confirmed online, try upgrading to the beta firmware again through the Web UI.
-If the main Deco and satellite Deco units are on different models, you could also update the satellite units individually through its IP address.
- After ensuring that all Deco units have been successfully upgraded, power on the Tapo devices again and observe if the issue is resolved.

@David-TP hi! I have no problems whatsoever with the X55s, only with the X50.
Is there any other way to solve it?
It is actually the one with more Tapo deviced connected (only 5!). And btw, Tapo is a TP Link brand, we shouldn't have these troubles.

@David-TP Hello, I have 4 Deco X50-POE(1.0) on my network. I have the same issue as others where other than the main Deco unit, the others show offline.
My network's operation mode is set to Access Point
Phone Type: iPhone 16 Pro Max
Operating System: iOS 18.1
Hardware Version of X50-PoE: US/1.6
Observation:
1. Tapping on Main Network which leads to Network map and Status, all Deco X50s are offline except Main.
2. Dragging the middle of the screen downwards causes the status to refresh.
3. Decos continue to appear offline despite the status LED on the X50's being Green.
4. At some random point or event, the Decos will report in the app as being online.
5. At some random point or event, the Decos will report in the app as being offline.
I do not see the firmware for my specific version of the X50-POE. Can you please guide me to which beta firmware I should install?
Thanks!!

Hi
I've managed to update my main p9 V2 deco but can't update my 2 of my 3 offline ones.
I have the IP addresses and managed to log on to 1 with the password and update but now can't access it as saying password is wrong.
The 2 others, I can enter the password but again says the password is wrong.
The password is not wrong as I can access the main p9 decos.
I then reset 1 of the decos that could not log in and readded to the deco network and all looked good for less than 5 minutes. It connected and could see it in the app but then went offline in the app.
I still can't access webpage as password is wrong.
Will this ever get fixed and if so, how do I do this now ?
Thanks

@David-TP Hi David, thank you so much for uploading the firmware for the Deco-X50-PoE v1.6 devices. I will test and monitor to see if the issue is resolved or if it persists the best I can. All the best as well.

Hi, Have you changed the password of the TP-Link email before?
If you did, I think the satellite P9 was unable to sync the new password from the cloud and still saved the old password. It is very likely the password was changed when satellite P9 units were offline.
After resetting one of the satellite P9s once and re-adding it to the Deco, can you access the web UI of this P9?
I checked the 4 Deco P9 units under your ID, 2 of them are on 1.2.1 Build 20240925 Rel. 74665, and the rest two units are on 1.2.1 Build 20240904 Rel. 34385.
Would you mind also resetting the 2 units with 1.2.1 Build 20240904 Rel. 34385 and re-added to the Deco APP, then test again whether the web UI of the individual units could be accessed?
Thank you very much and best regards.

@David-TP when will TP link fix this issue permanently with a non-beta fix ? It's a little disconcerting that an investment in a Deco based network and quite a number of TAPO devices has created instability in what should be a seamless ecosy

As I have the same issue as @Nytram with P9 and new beta firmware I can provide you the following feedback
Prerequisites:
Master Deco P9 unit is flashed with 1.2.1_build_20240925_Beta or 1.2.1-build_20240904_Beta (no difference)
Using beta APP 3.8.102
Reseting slave unit to factory defaults, adding it to the existing Deco P9 network doesn't bring device online in the app but it still works in the network.
Also the password on the newly added slave becomes incorrect (seems to be default) and I can't login to the added unit directly.
The only way to restore access to this unit is: reseting slave to factory defaults, flashing non-beta firmware, reseting to factory defaults, add to existing P9 network with beta firmware. After that I can access the unit directly with browser with login and password. After that upgrading it to the lateset beta firmware doesn't broke password login.
But device shows offline still.
