Note:
1. It is recommended that all Decos in the network be upgraded to beta firmware.
2. Please also check whether there is a firmware update for the Tapo device in the Tapo APP. If so, please update the Tapo device to the latest firmware.
3. How to update the satellite Deco units:
When the satellite Decos are offline, they may not be successfully upgraded through the Web UI. In this case, it is recommended to upgrade according to the following steps:
- Please temporarily power off most of the smart home devices and wait for the satellite Deco come back online.
- Once all the satellite Deco units are confirmed online, try upgrading to the beta firmware again through the Web UI.
-If the main Deco and satellite Deco units are on different models, you could also update the satellite units individually through its IP address.
- After ensuring that all Deco units have been successfully upgraded, power on the Tapo devices again and observe if the issue is resolved.

Hi, have you considered connecting 2~3 satellite Deco M4 units via Ethernet cables, instead of establishing a pure WiFi Mesh network?
Or have you tried to reduce the Deco units to about 3 units, if they could already cover the whole house?
The last time you reported this issue was about 2-3 weeks ago. With this frequency, it is more due to a temporary CPU/Memory overload on the main unit. It is also suggested to set a reboot schedule, maybe once per week.
Best regards.

@David-TP This is what i said in the Deco App 3.9.88/3.9.104: Explore Accessibility updates across Android and IOS
Since i updated to 3.9.88 the issue is sill exist.
I think its because of the apps it self not the deco, cause if you open the status via web UI, they will provide a correct status very stable. So the web ui is reading it right.
But on the deco Apps, the status reading is slow or something else, then i have to refresh the status until it display the correct status. but it will reading wrong again n again...
Fix the apps...

@ryg Yeah because Web UI works locally without internet connection and Deco App work with internet connection.

For those who are still use Deco P9 (v1/v2)
New firmware 1.3.0 is available from tp-link for OTA install.
It fixes almost all of my issues with these devices.
0. After upgrading to 1.3.0 firmware I have some weird issues with Deco APP. I had to remove network from the Deco APP and re-add all my Deco P9 units to the new network.
1. Network is stable. No devices are shown as offline in the App.
2. 8 deco p9 units work stable in one network (previous firmware allowed only 6 units)
3. PLC/WIFI mesh is stable.
What is not fixed:
1. Smart DHCP switch on/off - if you use your Deco P9 in AP mode and main Deco P9 boots faster than your router - it will enable its own DHCP server and create a mess for your clients.
2. No preferred signal source control for both Deco / clients
Both features are avaliable for Deco M4 (similar to P9 hardware without PLC) from 2023 year.
@David-TP Can we expect these features to be implemented for Deco P9?

Hi, thanks for the update.
I'm afraid there hasn't been any news about whether or when Deco P9 will support Connection Preference and Smart DHCP on/off switch.
Best regards.
