I am trying to connect our Honneywell T6 thermostat to the main WIFI network provided by a star system of Deco M9 plus routers.

I follow the steps as specified by the Resideo app. My smartphone sees the thermostat through bluetooth.

But at the step to select a WIFI network, I do not see the network provided by our Deco M9 plus system. I can see other WIFI networks from our neighbours, and even our printer is visible.

These things I have tried as from what I could find in these forums and through google:

  • I did try to reset our WIFI network
  • I selected to only broadcast the 2.4 Ghz band
  • The WIFI connection is strong enough when I look with my smartphone there where the WIFI signal should be detected by the thermostat.

Do I mis something to make this work?

Thank you in advance!

I have found the issue, and it is easily solvable.

When detecting the Honeywell T6, Fast Roaming has to be disabled. This can be done through the Deco app.

I was thinking about deleting this post, but it might be usefull for others when they are searching a solution for similar problems.
