Hello @NandoAoT
Apologize that the product does not meet your expectations. We will definitely continue to optimize the functions related to Gaming and QoS.
I'm curious if the ASUS RT-AC86U has the built-in servers for Brazil or Latin America. Is its Game Detection accurate when playing Battlefield 6 and Ready or Not?
Thank you very much.

It does not have game detection. As I mentioned in another topic, while game detection is a good idea in theory, in practice it is very difficult to reliably detect games today—especially with platforms like Steam and Discord. Because of this, the feature ends up being of limited real-world usefulness.
On the other hand, my old ASUS router offered:
-
A native application for ad blocking
-
Support for custom firmware installation
-
Free security protection (AiProtection powered by Trend Micro)
-
Better wireless coverage using only three external antennas
-
A detailed interface showing all devices connections, including IP addresses and ports
All of this was available on hardware with just 512 MB of RAM and a dual-core processor.
My expectation when purchasing the TP-Link router was to see a clear performance improvement. However, what I am experiencing feels more like a standard, average router. In addition, I am encountering issues that, in my opinion, should not happen at this level, as described in the following community thread:

Hello, due to GE550's lack of QoS stability and bad bufferbloat test values, I purchased Nanopi R3S and installed openwrt. I made the SqM setting and connected the GE550 to this device via wired access point mode. GE550 is not suitable for use as a direct router with pppoe configuration. There is a lot of lag in games. When purchasing the GE550, you think that it will not cause any problems by looking at its hardware, but this is not the case. It's no different from my old Archer C4000, only one has wifi 5 and the other has wifi 7. I spent money on GE550 for nothing. It is also very bad that there is no light mode for this device in the tether application. Why do I always have to use the tether app in dark mode because I use GE550?
