KE100 switches to offline mode after pairing
KE100 switches to offline mode after pairing
Unfortunately, I encounter a recurring problem with the KE100 control unit. I bought it two days ago, right after connecting it, I was able to start it without any problems and started pairing it with the 4 Thermostatic Radiator Valve. When pairing the 3 valve, the control unit disappeared from the KASA and TAPO applications. No attempts to reset it have been successful. Only a settings reset allows you to add it to the application again. Unfortunately, right after adding it, the message "network is unstable" appears. The HUB goes offline and nothing more can be done.
I tried a few things:
- changing wi-fi channels
- confirmation of enabling only 2.4 Ghz wifi
- disabling mobile data on the mobile phone while charging
-turning off BT connectivity
moving the HUB to different places
- leave it for 24 hours for automatic updating
Unfortunately, nothing helped. I will only add that I use several TAPO devices in the 2.4 ghz network and have never had any problem with them.
Can you help me with this problem? Will it be necessary to replace the device with another one?

At the beginning of the week, I connected KE100 again and a new software update appeared. This stage always passed before the device showed that it was going offline. The new software seems to have fixed the problem.
Thank you all for your help. Now it's time to test automation with the T315

Unfortunately, a new problem has appeared - when trying to pair the KASA and TAPO accounts, the message appears again - the network is unstable. The devices themselves work without any problems in their own ecosystems, but pairing is required for automation. Has anyone managed to solve such a problem?

Witam rodaka!
Disconnect all devices from the hub and remove them from both apps. Reset KH100 hub and connect it to Kasa app only(!!!), then add TRV's and thermometers there. Check if everything works.
Then go to Tapo app settings, sync accounts with Kasa and all devices should appear here as well. It looks like there's a feature parity for TRV's while Tapo UI is much more compact and easier to use than Kasa. I did not test adding/removing devices from Tapo app, though, just synced.
In terms of network issues, ping delay is a bit high for a LAN. Please share your WiFi AP model and settings. Use static channel, 20MHz width, and only WPA2/AES (no TKIP, no WPA3). Also make a static DHCP binding for your hub's MAC address to prevent IP change. Choose address outside of dynamic range, e.g. if dynamic is .100-.254 use IP from 2-99.
