Model: Deco P9
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

One of my Deco units has been making a twittering / squealing noise for some time now.

Having read a number of threads, the issue seems to be the two 16v 470uF capacitors.

I opened my unit up but none of the capacitors had bulging tops as is generally described.

Anyway, I replaced the two 16v 470uF capacitors and plugged the unit into the power supply but it was still making the same noise.

Has anyone else had this issue who could give me some advice please?

Thanks

  @knab

Hi

Thank you very much for the feedback.

Did the noise follow a specific Deco P9?

Could you please help me check the SN number on the P9?

After that, it is suggested to contact the local shop retailer to check for warranty service.

  @Joseph-TP

Yes, the noise relates to a particular Deco unit.

The serial number is 22042U0C00926 but the units will be outside the warranty period.

Any assistance to resolve the issue would be much appreciated.
