Hi all!

recently i received my new FRITZ!Box 7530 AX and two Deco X50 from my service provider. I understood that I can setup one X50 that is connected via LAN as my Mesh Master, and use the second one as Mesh Repeater. Doing so, i need to disable the WIFI of my FritzBox.

As the FritzBox also supports mesh, I am wondering if it is also possible to use the FritzBox as my Mesh Master and both X50 as Mesh Repeaters. I would prefer this setup due to the fact, that i would have three active WIFI devices allowing better coverage of my home.

I would be happy if you could help me in realizing that setup!

Hi, welcome to the community.

Many Brands would have their own dedicated Mesh protocol. Currently, I only noticed AVM recommended using their own models to establish a Mesh network:

So I'm afraid you might still need to wire the first main Deco via an Ethernet cable to the FRITZ!Box 7530
