Model: Archer C5
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 3.16

My Archer C5 is connected to my ISP supplied ONT via WDS to extend the WiFi coverage to the end of my flat.

The connection works well with proper speeds but my Android phone has troubles with the setup.

My phone connects and works fine with the Archer for sometime. Eventually, the phone stops loading some content and apps throw errors saying they can't connect to the internet or the content cannot be reached.

Not every app has this issue however, it's just some apps such as Reddit, Snapchat and Telegram which make this extremely weird.

My Windows laptop on the other hand does not have any issues whatsoever with the Archer and it stays connected as long as I need it to be connected. The connection is simply rock solid. It is only my Android phone with the issue.

I have setup WDS following the instructions at - https://www.tp-link.com/in/support/faq/1555/

My does not lose the WiFi signal or does not disconnect from the Archer when the issue occurs the content just stops loading all of a sudden. I also cannot access the Web GUI of the Archer nor the ISP Box when this issue happens.

Any help is appreciated,

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

When the issue happens, which wifi band of C5 does your phone connect to?

Can your phone connect to the main router properly always?

Sorry, I failed to think of better suggestion except suggesting to change another wifi band to connect.

  @Marvin_S

Thanks for the reply, my phone connects to the 5Ghz Band of the TP-Link over which the WDS is also bridged.

I have turned off 2.4Ghz on my TP-Link.

My phone has no issues staying connected to my main router.
