Model: Deco M9 Plus  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.6.4 Build 20240718 Rel. 76925

I've follow up this link to setup content filter

It doesn't work. I've even try set the web filter to Child (0-7), but it looks like none of the webpage can be filter. 

 

When I select the profile, I can see the Top Visited Websites/Apps have the word (Blocked) next to the web that I block. But it does mean nothing as in his device he can still access the web.

 

e.g. I've block his facebook, I can see from the top it say Facebook (Blocked) 48m.

 

Anyone have a solution on how to make it work?

There are some more research before I raise this post, I am not sure how true it is. 1) According to below thread, the web content filter never work! (I really hope that is not the case) https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/589364 2) According to below thread, there is a bug and it fix in some new firmware version. (But the one it mention is not my deco model, and current I am already using the latest model) https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/619056

Hi. Welcome to the community.

I noticed you had the Deco for a while. Did the web filter issue start recently?

 

The Parental Control web filters don't work over IPv6, please make sure IPv6 is disabled under Deco APP>More.

After that, please clear the browser caches and test again whether you can access www.facebook.com.

I never use this feature before. But recently, I notice my kids are very additive to social media, hence I am trying to explore some way to limit their usage. I am not use IPv6 . It is current disabled.

Btw, I really feel the device must know that the website need to block. As in the top most visit website I can see it is Facebook (Blocked), Instagram (Blocked). But it is just for some unknown reason with the laptop Edge browser it is still able to load up those page.

Do parental controls work with IPv6 on ANY tp-link models?
