I've managed to get a M4 version deco unit today as I thought I would use this as my main unit to get the better speed. When I connect the M4 on its own no issues at all but as soon as I try to add the satellite E4 deco I run into problems.

The M4 deco seems to drop out firstly going to a yellow light then onto a red, no matter what I try this continues, again if I remove the E4 deco then I have no issue. I'm currently running the M4 with the others off but need to sort something as I've no Wi-Fi at the other end of the property.

Are the 2 units compatible, both have different firmware and I did wonder about the version 2 and version 4 compatibility.

Any help would be appr

  @Locosaki140

Hi, welcome to the community.

It seems like Deco M4 is rebooting after adding Deco E4.

Did you just purchase the Deco E4? Could you please leave me a message with the MAC Address of the Deco M4 and Deco E4?

They are compatible and should work together.

Have you tried to temporarily set E4 as the main Deco, then M4 as the satellite unit to see whether the same issue continued?

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

  @David-TP

Hi David thanks for getting back to me

I've had the E4 set up originally but recently changed broadband supplier so the E4 was limiting speeds, I got the M4 to overcome this.

I've tried as you say, setting the E4 as the main and using the M4 as a satellite but it still drops out just the same. I've got the M4 set up just now as the main with the E4 switched off and the M4 is working perfectly with the better speeds as I had hoped. I guess this rules out a fault with the M4 unit.

Details below

M4 MAC address: 3C-84-6A-94-9F-A0

E4 MAC address: 60-83-E7-86-F3-18
