BE900 V2 Wifi is connected but connection and IP, and internet keeps dropping
BE900 V2 Wifi is connected but connection and IP, and internet keeps dropping
Preface. Bought the router in Japan (V2 Japanese version) - all device are japanese domestic devices and my location is Japan as well.
Out of Box it has 1.05 as firmware, it was stable. After upgrading to 1.1.1 our Macs were disconnecting and dropping internet connection, sometimes signal is full (couple feet away but pages are not loading) - Reset the config and reset up again without any luck.
Here are the setup
1. Setup SSID as independent for each band (Only has 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz-1 on) both using fixed channel with no interference on channel (used Wifiman to check these) - MLO is disabled
2. Mac was Wifi 6 and Wifi 6e, both experience random connection drop, disabling WIFI and re-enabling it works
3. It did not effected the iOS and iPadOS devices, Windows and Android devices. Only specific to Mac laptops and iMac (we have total of 5 machines - All M1s)
I can't roll back to 1.05 firmware for some reason after upgrading to 1.1.1 - Upgrade was done thru Web panel and not manual download. Is there a way for me to roll back?
Please assist.

Thanks for posting this issue. I am having the same issue on MacBook M2, only with Wifi. With wired, the connection is stable. All other devices (mobile devices, iPad etc) are OK.
I am on BE900 v2 Japan version and using in Japan. Firmware is newest v1.1.2.
I have to disconnect and reconnect the MacBook to Wifi to fix. I have been using an Ethernet adapter as a workaround.

OK, MAC clone is also very useful method to fix related issue sometimes, It is suggested to try it, too.
Hi @Marvin_S
Things were pretty stable for a few days after making the qos and DNS changes but after the firmware update to 1.0.12 build 20240902 relationship 22993 it is worse than ever. I will try the Mac clone, are you suggesting to clone the Mac of the isp modem or a device behind the router?
Seeing as I have two of these devices, should I clone them both to be the same?

Hi, usually MAC Clone is to clone the MAC address of old router to the current main router.
But for your case, we have beta firmware and please try it first. Please check your message box.
Thank you~
