Model: Archer C80  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.13.2 Build 230824 Release 74702n (5553).

I have my network setup with 5 C80. I want to move one of my satellites out in the garden and I was wondering if there is any way to disable LAN ports on that device. I have many IOT devices in my garden and some of them can't receive the signal from the satellites within the house but I don't feel safe leaving the satellite 24x7 out of the house with the ports exposed for anyone to gain access to my network.

Hi,

 

TP-Link's Wi-Fi routers don't provide an option to disable Ethernet ports.

 

You will have to look for ways to physically prevent people from gaining access via the Ethernet ports.

Hi  @Archundias 

 

As woozle said, the LAN port cannot be disabled in the internal settings of the router.

In addition, please note that Archer C80 is an indoor product for home usage or small office use. It is not recommended to expose it to the outdoors or open air for a long time, which may affect the product's service life and performance.
