  @seanwlk

So it turned out to be a bit of user error - the PC that I mainly use is connected on the 2.5gb port, but since I made the change you recommended I didn't test it on here.

The PC I was testing on, has had completely new hardware installed since I originally set up WolOn.  There's a good chance it wasn't working before (I don't recall needing to use wol for it) as that PC stays online 24/7 anyway.  So of course, the MAC address etc in the app was incorrect.

Anyway, the main desktop PC works just fine now.  I've also noticed the other machine will wake up if I attempt to access one of its hard drives remotely (which I do a lot) so that won't be an issue.

Cheers for the help :)

  @seanwlk I found a "partial" solution, since my motherboard (Asus Rog Strix B550-F Gaming WIFI II) also has a wifi built in.. I have activated it and connect it to same network with which my ethernet cable connected. And now I am using wifi to wake my pc tho I can only wake it when its on sleep mode.. when its on complete shutdown mode I cant wake it via WIFI, might be able to wake the pc when its on hibernation mode but I dont use that mode so havent tried it..

Another option which might work is to use a USB WIFI adapter, since you can setup in bios to let usb ports to have power while in shutdown state (havent tried this either).

I was going mad for the last 2 days trying to solve this problem after installing this router..
I might get a ewelink smart pc switch instead of using 1Gb/s on the router tho.. then I would be able to turn on and off my pc via google assistant..
