Powerline blocking some ports?
Just setup my home PC to connect over the Internet using this powerline, with one adapter connected to the home VDSL router and the other to the PC.
I need sometimes to connect to the PC using NoMachine remote virtual desktop (nx protocol, tcp 4000 port), something I have done since years from home to the office, now needing from outside to my home.
I have setup UPnP on the VDSL router, and can see the port forwarding was correctly setup from NoMachine server on the router, but still I can't connect.
For a test I have tried connecting to the PC from the same network, and seems the connection is opened but I never got to see the desktop.
Testing without the powerline, with the PC directly connected to the VDSL router works. Unfortunately I can't use this setup due I need the PC in a specific room.
Looking at the tpPLC manual and the forum seems the powerline does not have any firewall or specific port forwarding setup, anyway for some reason seems to interfere with the NoMachine connection.
Wanted to ask if there is something I need to do, or is a known limitation.
