Hi, thanks,
My Internet Service Provider is Movistar Chile.
- I have a 940 Mbps symmetrical fiber-optic plan.
- The fiber-optic cable is connected to the Movistar WIFI 6 PLUS HGU RTF8225VW ASKEY AIROHA router (ASKEY COMPUTER CORP).
- I have disabled the WIFI on the router to manage the wireless network through my Deco mesh system.
Connections to the Movistar router:
- Deco Mesh (main unit): connected to one of the Ethernet ports on the router.
- It uses the Ethernet cable that came with the Deco Mesh X50 package.
- Movistar IPTV: connected to another Ethernet port on the router. This service seems to use different ports or specific technology for IPTV.
Deco Mesh configuration:
- The main Deco unit has two additional Ethernet ports in use:
- One connected to an Ethernet cable running to the first floor, where another Deco unit is located.
- This connection uses a Cat 5E Ethernet cable previously installed by Movistar when they set up a repeater included with the plan. However, the repeater was very poor, providing only ~200 Mbps (though symmetrical).
- The other directly connected to my PS5.
I share a draw of my current network

last test performed next to the main deco (with wifi macbook)

It seems that being closer improves the upload speed.
I should buy a better ethernet cable to connect the router to the main deco and not use the one that came in the package?
I also know that it is much better to have a router in bridge or "passthrough" mode (the Movistar router has a switch to activate it faster), but I think I would have problems with the IPTV connected by cable and the IPTV connected by wifi.
Or maybe I should have a better router? that is compatible with my Deco mesh x50?
