Solution Set Archer/Deco 4G/5G Routers with EE SIM
Archer and Deco 4G/5G routers have undergone extensive field testing and are compatible with most of the leading mobile broadband providers worldwide, including EE, a leading mobile network in the UK. Occasionally, there is feedback that the 4G/5G routers can't access the internet using EE sim cards.
After further troubleshooting with the users, the following suggestions have successfully resolved some cases.
-
Make sure the firmware is up-to-date.
For Deco X50-5G, the latest firmware version is Deco X50-5G-V1-1.2.0 Supports WireGuard VPN, Hybrid Mesh and More.
-
Confirm the same card works well on the mobile phone or other 4G/5G routers.
-
Go to EE APN Settings: Where to find them and check whether you have the correct APN settings.
-
Manually create a "Custom" APN profile: set "PDP Type" to "IPV4" and "Authentication Type" to PAP.
-
(Optional)* Test BT APN settings with 4G-only network mode.
If neither helps, please restart the 4G/5G router once then save the system log after 5-10mins. Then please send the system logs as well as the following details to support.forum@tp-link.com (Please add Forum ID 723156 in the subject)!
