Hi everyone,

I'm relatively new to the world of DDNS (Dynamic DNS) and domain management. I'm currently using TP-Link's DDNS service, which has assigned my device the address "smth.tplinkdns.com" However, I'd like to take it a step further and utilize my own domain name, "smth.ir" instead.

My objective is to achieve the following:

  • When someone pings "smth.ir," it should effectively ping my device, mirroring the functionality of pinging "smth.tplinkdns.com."

I understand there might be some configuration steps involved, and I'd greatly appreciate any guidance you can offer.

Specifically, I'm looking for insights on:

  • Whether this setup is achievable with my existing domain and TP-Link DDNS service.
  • Any necessary steps within my domain registrar's control panel (or TP-Link settings) to point "smth.ir" to my dynamic IP address managed by the DDNS service.

Thank you in advance for your assistance! wink
