  @Sudoko

Hi,  The upload bin file for firmware recovery is up to 32MB, and ever since 1.2.2, the latter versions are all over 32 MB.

If the hardware is not customized for  NZVDF, the general version could be updated to 1.4./1.6 via web UI but the web UI is not available for the NZVDF version.

Thank you very much and best regards.

  @David-TP Thank you so much for your respond, basically there is no way to patch back to original firmware over ONZ ones.

It sounds like you're dealing with some compatibility issues when trying to flash newer firmware. Sometimes, using recovery mode can be tricky, especially with modified firmware versions. Have you tried using a different method, like TFTP, or checking for any  wednesdayaddamscostume specific restrictions with ONZ firmware that might block updates? It might help to reset to factory settings before attempting another flash.

Thanks for your reply. I will try with tftp and see if I have any luck. It's really wrong and selfish to lock down products you paid for, and on top of that, it's more frustrating that they lock normal functions you can't use—in my case, VPN access to my home network from outside. They locked it for good; it doesn't exist until you flash with the original firmware. 🤦‍♂️
