Unable to upload firmware

Region : Australia
Model : TD-W8960N
Hardware Version : V4
Firmware Version :
ISP :
I have a pretty much brand new TD-W8960N v4 that after I had configured it, performed a reboot and now the router is non-operational.
When logging into it via the default IP, I am immediately taken to a firmware upload page. I have attempted to upload the two available firmwares but am denied with a message declaring that the firmware files are illegal.
I have unzipped the firmware files and I have tried both Internet Explorer and Firefox. Both give the same results.
At the moment I have pretty much a bricked router, so any help would be appreciated. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is there some other special firmware I need to upload instead?

You can only upload a firmware with a cable(by wired) ,rather than Wifi.Maybe that's the problem.

here is the URL of TD-W8960N_V4's firmware download page, download the latest one first.
Then use wired connection to finish firmware upload.
notice:Unzip the firmware you download, use the "bin" file to upload

No .bin

There is no .bin file within the zip. Only a .up file.
I actually even re-named the .up file to .bin and gave it a shot. Still didn't work.

Did you download the file named with TD-W8960N_V4_120912 on the TP-LINK official website?

reset your TD-W8960N, and set it to factory default. Then you try uploading firmware files again.
