a few days a go i purchase some new tapo l630 smart lights and was strugging to setup via wifi.  The initial problem i had to resolved the ssue was to make sure in your router settings to make sure the 2.4ghz bandwidth is set to channel 11 and not use auto.  If you use auto the pairing will fail.

They did not mention this in the manual so this solution worked for me

Thank you for your sharing! I'll help to submit your feedback to the relevant team for review.

Channel 11 on the 2.4GHz WiFi band is relatively less crowded, along with channels 1 and 6. If fixing the channel to 11 enables the bulb to successfully connect to the router's WiFi, it indicates that the channel previously chosen by the router was crowded. In such cases, it is feasible to switch the 2.4GHz WiFi channels.

This approach is also applicable for situations where devices in the network experience WiFi disconnections.
