Dear All,

I have this Archr v5 that I set up for Expressvpn as a VPN client in the past. Something happened (lost SSID and login details) and I had to reset it. Unfortunately I upgraded the firmware after reset and now I cannot load this firmware that I had loaded before to setup the openvpn client and all (openwrt-19.07.7-ath79-generic-tplink_archer-c7-v5-squashfs-factory.bin).

I am looking for anyway in which I can configure this as a open VPN client as now the firmware only has possibilities for setting it up as a VPN server. I have tried looking for previous firmware builds from TPlink that I suspect would allow me do this, but cannot find any.

I will appreciate any help I can get.

Welcome to our community.

The previous firmware you used is a third-party one, which is not from TP-Link official website.

Normally, Archer C7 V5 does not support VPN Client feature. I am afraid that we have no further suggestions.
